EBI

The task force’s Extended Brief Intervention (EBI) worker is now sitting in Grove Court Primary Care on Thursday afternoons, EBI is between 2-6 sessions to look at someone’s alcohol use and what they would like to do regarding this. A person led care plan will be developed with the person. Also if needed a referral pathway to Integrated Alcohol Service (IAS) specialist GP who can facilitate an alcohol detox in the community if person attends their sessions and to the specialist nurse who can facilitate Physical health check, Fibre scans of liver and blood works if required.
