
Dublin 15 Family Support Service
News Update 30 September 2025
September has been a very busy month for the D15 Family support team.
On the 8th of September our family support co-ordinator Mary Morris chaired the first family support implementation sub group. Within the meeting the following were discussed;
- D15 family support service presentation
- Review the implementation guide
- Gaps in services
Evaluating training needs
Our drug prevention education worker Laura held the 3rd drug education prevention meeting of this year. It had 16 attendees. Productive discussions were held between services and schools.
On the 13th of September it was the Safer Blanchardstown event. It was a great day had by all. The D15 family support service spoke to many people from the community and other services.
On the 19th of September the D15 family support service took part in the D15 recovery walk. It was a great day had by all. The walk began in BMYI and continued until everyone reached the Tolka River Project where there was lunch and entertainment provided for all.
SHARHP began in a primary school in Dublin 15 this September. SHAHRP emphasizes harm reduction, equipping students with practical knowledge and strategies to minimize alcohol-related risks. The programme is going very well and the young people are very engaging.
A big Thanks to the Dublin Adult and Child Therapy Centre who gave the D15 family support service tickets to the stage show adaption from the book POOR by Katriona O Sullivan . Four of our clients got to attend the opening night on Friday the 26th of September.
We have another busy and exciting month ahead in October.
